its a drizzle here... Like the Inuits, Coastal Oregonians have 30 or more words for "rain", unless they are from South of the Border, and then they just put Da*n in front of RAIN, but they like our Green! Who can figure what CALIFORNIANS think????

Yes, it's good to be getting some snow finally. Has been snowing all day today. Rain is good too, but being a mountain critter, I definitely prefer the snow. Must be aggravating to have those folks come up from south of the border and complain about your rainy weather, especially seeing as the rain was there before they were...
Same things happens here with folks from warmer climates, they move to Colorado because the mountains are pretty or some such...and then when the fist winter rolls around, they're complaining that there's *snow* on the roads! And somebody ought to do something about it. Like put nasty chemicals on the roads to melt the snow, instead of plowing them but leaving a good base of snow, like we always have done...
