I’ve certainly had unfortunate incidents with snowshoes, mostly when trying to use them on a slope that’s too steep and has branches/fallen trees just beneath the snow…not good!
And when skiing on rotten spring snow, it’s very easy to end up with your ski tips firmly stuck beneath the crust and yourself with nothing solid to push against in an attempt to get up, if you fall. Very frustrating if you’re in a hurry!
